Find your route through this beautiful area and discover new and historic nature reserves, old manor houses, beautiful villages and stop at historic figures.
The route will show you the variety, the at times enchanting spots with intimate vistas. The Zuidelijk Westerkwartier offers a lot for nature lovers, art lovers, sociable people and certainly also for families with children.
The car puzzle tour can be driven all year round, on any day you like. We want to avoid getting too crowded at the various locations where you can stop for a while. Therefore, a limit has been set on the number of bookings per day. When the maximum number of bookings is reached, this will be mentioned. You can always look forward to another day.
Zomerspecial: Westerkwartier
Voor de zomerspecial is een bijzondere activiteit toegevoegd: begin het avontuur in Westerkwartier met een heuse Struisvogelsafari bij Struisvogelboerderij De Kreij in Boerakker. Maak van dichtbij kennis met deze bijzondere dieren. Ze mogen aangeraakt (als de vogel het toelaat) en gevoerd worden.
Enkele hoogtepunten van de route door het Westerkwartier:
- Bezoek voor je vertrekt de Streekwinkel van Landgoedboerderij Oosterheerdt (startlocatie)
- Bezoek het museum en landgoed Nienoord. Tip: na het ontbijt als je het 2-daags arrangement hebt geboekt
- Wandel in het bos van de Coendersborg, en snuif de adellijke sferen op
- Stap binnen bij de voorloper van een borg, het steenhuis Iwema
- Klim in de uitkijktoren van Marumerlage
- Hoeveel historie kun jij aan? Over Abel Tasman, over het voormalig grootste klooster van West-Europa in Aduard, of over préhistorische grafheuvels en pingoruïnes?

Catering during the motor puzzle tour
Want to bring a picnic basket with a packed lunch during the car puzzle tour? You can! We get the ingredients for the packed lunch from local producers and several snacks are homemade. You can pick up your packed lunch at the start location. The starting location is Landgoedboerderij Oosterheerdt in Leek.
The packed lunch will be provided by Love2Cook (Please order two days in advance).
When purchasing the basic package for a LocalGroningen car puzzle route, you will receive the following:
- detailed directions
- description for special points
- questions to win prizes
- car bingo and puzzles for the kids
(Price basic package is per car).
Available from a minimum of two cars (minimum four people) per booking.
When purchasing the Luxury package for a LocalGroningen car puzzle route, you will receive the following:
- everything from the basic package
- richly filled lunch with many products directly from the region (order 2 days in advance)
- (healthy) snacks for on the road

When purchasing the Culinary package for a LocalGroningen car puzzle route, you will receive the following:
- (order at least two days in advance; only available Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
- the entire Basic package
- dinner box with complete meal, or

When purchasing the Groningen Easter package at the car puzzle route you will receive the following:
- everything from the basic package + small, happy surprise

- Start location: Oosterheerdt Estate Farm, Leek.
- Final location: Hayema Heerd, at Oldehove.
- Length: approx. 65 km.
- Duration: approx. 3.5 hours, depending on the number of stops.
## How does it work?
- Choose your package, your route and, if you already know it, the date when you want to drive the car puzzle route.
- After your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link.
- Use the link to download the initial information.
- At the starting location, you will receive the route book with route navigation and lots of information about the route and region.
- The folder also contains questions with which you can win prizes.
- An important task awaits the children, namely solving fun puzzles as well as the car bingo.
